I chose to do my installation at a local pond in my community. I was inspired by environmental art, specifically work done by Andy Goldsworthy. When I read the requirements for this installation it said whatever we used for the installation had to be found from that site. Knowing I couldn't bring anything I decided to use materials found in nature. As I was walking to the pond I came across a large branch and two perfect mushrooms. I gathered these items and continued walking. I thought it would be interesting to create an environment you don't normally see in nature. Mushrooms are not known to grow in ponds so this went along with my vision. I also found tiny pebbles, green moss, yellow weeds, tree bark, and leaves. I arranged all of these items in the pond to create this enchanted spot in an otherwise unnoticed area. I wanted to create something that the viewer had to find. From a distance you don't really notice it but as you get closer it's almost as if you stumbled upon a hidden gem.

I lowered the branch into the water to create a bridge over everything else.
