For the Final Project, I harnessed my passion for fibers to depict a visually satisfying structure that harps on motion and location. Utilizing yarn to symbolize motion throughout the structure, I weaved yarn around my clay structures and ultimately hung my display from the wall. Additionally, my display includes the concept of location in the sense that the clay pieces are hidden throughout the yarn webbing. Yarn provides a nice contrast to my clay structures in that it is soft and malleable while the clay is firm and stationary. Cohesively, my Final Project represents motionless objects in a mobile medium.

I wanted each piece to have a different underglaze since I was putting the same crystallite glaze on them afterwords. This way they still look like a collection but also have their own individuality. The left piece has a melon underglaze, the middle is a purple, and the right is an orange underglaze.

This is my final presentation of this project.
