The pieces that I chose to create for Touch were inspired by my fondness over multi textured materials. As an example, I blended together the feeling of a smooth and glossy surface while being accompanied with a firm and rough sensation. To achieve this, I first had to sand the sides of my clay to produce a smooth surface upon touch. It was afterward that I used my blade, among other instruments, to detail my structure within to yield a rough and more textured interior.
