Sculptural Relief

The two images above were my inspiration in creating this piece. Both Asian and Postmodern architecture are incorperated throughout this work.

I wanted to make a very intricate centerpice to serve as the focal point for this piece. The pattern I created out of wood is a combination of Asian and Postmodern architecture. I added the white foam base to make it even more modern. I added the paper flowers to incorperate Japanese nature, because Asian architecture is very influenced by nature. The white pieces of fiber hanging down are also supposed to intigrate nature, almost as if they are aparnt of a garden.
